Somehow Trini Lopez got a gig doing advertisements for Fresca, the soft drink, during the peak of his career, and I remember that a purchase of Fresca at the store got us a little 45RPM record of Lopez with his band and a rowdy audience, some sort of live recording.
On the 45, there were three songs: the West Side Story song "A-me-ri-ca", "If I Had a Hammer," and the "Fresca" jingle (with a big brass band).
The jingle had something about "the cold and frosty taste that comes on coooool...." and Lopez hollering above the brass crescendo, "Let's do it one more time..."
A sterling entertainer at any rate! Did he play Vegas? He must have done.
