In 2020 we had this deadly virus going round. lots of us stayed in our homes to avoid contact and try to stay out of the virus's way.
It was very hot weather and there were loads of butterflies everywhere, out in the street, in peoples gardens, etc. It occurred to me that if you told a butterfly he had only one day to live - well the butterfly wouldn't understand. He can't count - not even up to one. No use asking the butterfly to go into lockdown..
However perhaps can learn something about mortality from the butterfly who wears his brightest colours, and for whom life and its endless search for all kinds of things is the nub of existence.
