This is NOT about UK Politics - the Republic of Ireland is NOT a pert of the UK, Maggie!, it is an independent republic, exactly like the United States.

Would someone please remove the reference to UK POLITICS from the title of the OP, and would the Mods please desist from trying to associate the RoI with the United Kingdom politically.
