You know perfectly well that it isn't the history that looks alike, IT IS THE INCESSANT MODERN DAY FIGHTING ABOUT IT. Minutia haggled over, wherever the source of it, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, outposts, etc. Name calling. Insults hurled.
