Subject: Info: US Singer Tracy Newman (1943- ...)
The name of Tracy Newman seems to be coming up on my screen quite frequently lately. Maybe she's doing something technical to bring her name to the forefront.

Her Wikipedia article says she was born in 1943, and was an original member of the New Christy Minstrels. We studied the New Christy Minstrels in music class in Sophomore year of high school in 1963. In 1965, she appeared in a WNET public television series titled What's New. Several of her performances from that series appear on her YouTube Channel, and they're actually pretty good.

I searched Mudcat and didn't find any mention of her. Maybe she deserves at least a passing mention. I remember back in 1965, swooning over an earnest young woman singing "MTA" just like Newman does in her WNET performance. She does a nice job of Wade Hemsworth's Black Fly.
