Funny how the great Scottish singers always sang without accompaniment.

Some youngsters start off like this but it seems inevitable that the solo voice of Caitlinn McHoolichan becomes the C McH BAND with accordion, fiddle, clarsach, Irish drum & all the rest- WHY?

The old songs don't need it- surely it couldn't be the chance of commercial glamour?

.... or that the eventual the prospect of the HOLY GRAIL- ie a second rate pop career is too good to miss?
