I lived in Dundas and worked in Hagersville in 1966/67. AS I passed through Mount Hope, I always noticed the blue and gold historical plaque on the highway pointing to the home of George and Maggie Johnson. The big letters at the top read "When You And I Were Young Maggie". Unfortunately the present owners of the home have asked that the sign be removed since they had too many people stopping to take photos. It is now kept in a municipal building.
Mount Hope is now part of the city of Hamilton, as is Dundas.
