Forsh, the bloke who started this thread years ago, is the son of Alan Forshaw. Alan turned up at a gun turret session in Darwin back in day with a pile of English folk LPs under his arm - AL Lloyd, Ewan MacColl, the Halliard, Pete Nalder etc. It was a fabulous resource for the fledgling Top End Folk Club. Such LPs were unobtainable in Oz at that time. Alan knew hundreds of songs and would often add extra verses when someone finished a song at sessions. He lived in Darwin for a number of years before moving to Queensland. Ah memories!
