it is looking like WiFi, without RJ45, is becoming a standard as laptops get thinner. And the CD/DVD slot has long gone.

I have had a cursory look at some models and the selection is not good for me. Having used a BT (notso) HotSpot for several years I am reluctant to add to the WiFi clutter in my neighbourhood. AND, as unlikely as snooping is, not having WiFi is more secure, and tells Goggle less about me. When, that is, my new broadband connection actually gets switched on. And that's another thing..................
