The original request was for the tune and any possible other verses so the song could be sung or a recording played at he funeral of the requester's granny, who passed away on Friday. I think the grandfather had learned the song when on a school trip / expedition to Glen More (possibly Glenmore Lodge?) in the 1950s (which would predate The Corries / Portree Kid?)
I suspect it may have been a very local song, perhaps one made up for the end of the week ceilidh (at Glenmore Lodge?) and set to an existing tune? The verse seems to fit the Lights of Lochindaal tune, tho the chorus would need a couple of additional heedams?
