Brian, the "rabbits" stanza with the "roll your leg over" chorus was popularized in the U.S. by Oscar Brand on one his Bawdy Songs LPs in the mid '50s.

These seem to have become de rigeur at a great many college fraternities for the next decade, and Brand's laundered, improved versions are still "all over the Internet."
