As I understand it, being black increases the chances of being very ill/dying from the virus.
I suppose the schools are being treated as childcare centres so that the parents can go to work.
But secondary school pupils are surely capable of looking after themselves at home? My sister and I did while our mother worked, even during the school holidays.
I also feel sorry for the teachers.
At least the supermarket Morrisons is giving all 'frontline workers' a 10% reduction on their bill at the checkout, on production of the ID badge. Husband proudly shows his badge and the lady always says, "Stay safe!"
