It wisnae itsel' but the ornaments on it
Gard a'body talk of the bunnet of Jean.

The bunnet was covered wi' ribbons of blue
And edged with a fringe of a composite hue

A' the birds of the air came to settle upon it

And laid a roond egg on the top of the bonnet
