I just couldn't believe it when I made my occasional visit to the Mudcat website last night to learn that Anne had passed away just a month ago. Anne, along with her uncle, the late Willie Brady, was one of the finest Ballad Singers I ever heard. First with Jesse Owens and later with her husband, Paddy Roche,she provided some wonderful entertainment during the late 1960s and early 1970s. We males are not supposed to cry but I have to admit I shed some bitter tears last night when I first learned of her passing. I have just posted my condolences to Anne's family on the RIP.IE Website.
