Right, she sounds my kind of woman, holding of Salisbury while her husband was off, she defended her castle for a long time until the English finally gave up, from what I've read.According to one site I found, Salisbury and his men are said to have sung this about her. Anyone know of a tune and more words or any other ballads about her?
She makes a stir in tower and trench,
That brawling, boisterous, Scottish wench;
Came I early, came I late.
I found Agnes at the gate.
Thanks,
