On this blog you'll see a sheet music, a YouTube video and some background information in French. The song is said to be written and composed by Albert Larrieu (Perpignan 1872- Paris 1925) -though not registered at the BNF. Larrieu spent some time in Canada and the song was collected by the French-Canadian priest and musicologist Charles-Émile Gadbois (1906-1981) in one of his "La Bonne Chanson" collection (1938-1951). It was also published in a 1957 school songbook "Chantons la bonne chanson à l’école".
