Many years ago, when my lad was a teenager (he's forty now) and doing his grades on guitar, Princess Anne came to Bude for some ceremonial thing wot I've forgotten was all about. Sonny Jim was commandeered into playing some classical pieces in a backroom as the Chinless One was doing the regal rounds in our municipal building. At one point, Prinny Anne was heard to remark, "Ooh, where's the BEAUTIFUL music coming from?" Meladdo has dined out on that for the last twenty years or more. But he still isn't a royalist!
