Managed to get a refund for my faulty knitting needle. They were not going to let me return it, as it was more than 30 days since I had purchased it, in anticipation of needing it later. However, under UK law, one is entitled to a refund or replacement for faulty goods for 6 months after purchase: and the onus of proof of goods being faultless falls on the seller. Pointed this out and got my refund! It didn’t cost a lot but it’s the principle!
