THE LEGEND OF TIABI

WRITTEN BY Twomey, Wise and Frisch.

Way out beyond the purple mountains
Where the sky blue water flows
They tell the Legend of Tiabi
The lovely Navajo Rose.

She was promised to Tiamo
Bravest hunter ever known
But then one day he fell in battle
And left Tiabi alone.

But the Moon God saw her cry
And he carried her above
Made them two stars in the sky
Tiabi and her love.

And where she wept beside the river
Now a Weeping Willow grows
And that's the Legend of Tiabi
The lovely Navajo Rose.

The story is old . . . .Tiabi

The story is true . . . . Tiamo

And that's the legend of Tiabi, Tiabi, Tiabi, Tiabi

END
