I've done a lot of cleanup on this "origins" thread, mostly by moving messages to other threads. There's no doubt that the correct spelling of the place name is "Bunclody," but I'm not ready to concede that other spellings are completely illegitimate. So this thread is still a work in progress. Be patient.
