Adding the song I sang during the Mudcat zoom this evening...

I wrote this in the spring of 2017, after reading about a beautiful golden beach that had disappeared and then returned – after 33 years – to the town of Dooagh on the tiny island of Achill (pronounced Ack-ill) off the coast of Ireland. I started to muse about where the beach might have gone to on its 'holiday' had a look (thanks to Google) at various maps of the world's ocean currents, and came up with a route that this beach might have traveled...

My home's a tiny village where the tides they love to tarry
I there resided gladly for more years than can be counted
Until one day I ran away to see the world about me
