For weeks the muon has sparked speculation that an undiscoverd boson is respondsible for the muon's abberant behavior or perhaps some other unexpected interaction. We can play with muons for up to 3 seconds now at relativistic speeds, which slows time down.
News reporting rhetoric on the muon is somewhat hyperbolic.
The fate of all mankind is NOT in question regarding new muon data. :*)

I thought when Amos described an aspect of the universe to be a massive tendril gently wrapping itself around our visible galaxies to be spot on and poetic. Today cosmological musing gave way to more pressing matters like "whats for lunch".
