What I saw was just after midnight on a sultry summer's evening in the early 80s. I'd gone outside to get my cat in (I'm having the same trouble this very evening). There was no-one else in the street to corroborate my claim. I asked around next day - nobody. Nary a drop had passed my lips. I know what I saw but I don't expect anyone to believe me. It can't have been anything else. By the way, there was a bit of what looked like smoke but the wind was in the wrong direction for me to smell anything.
