why you stated that this same version was sung by Ossian 27 before Malinky with their newly written verses.

Luckily the Ossian version of To Pad the Road Wi' Me is on YouTube too. It has the original four verses similar to Ord but with some changes; e.g. the first line is "Oh Molly, lovely Molly come let us name the time".
