Thanks to Philippa and Áine for that clarification; unfortunately, I didn't find the text on Áine's site last time round.  It would have saved confusion if I had!

Angelo: were you "Skye Laurent" in that previous thread, then?  (I'm a little confused!  The thread was  Boys of Ireland,  as I mentioned earlier.)  Margaret Stewart's recording of "Uamh an Oir", as you have on your website, is the one that I gave you the text for (Lyr/Chords Req: gaelic songs) : it was transcribed by Morag MacLeod, one of the greatest living experts on Scottish Gaelic song, and the words are certainly right; several times, though, phrases are repeated, which may be confusing until you get used to the sounds of it.
