Very sad news indeed - I have never made it to Womad but I would love to go there some day. Fortunately we have the fantastic Musicport Festival in Whitby in October - I really hope that can still go ahead as that is one I never miss. Highly recommended to anyone who loves music from around the world.

The Government's woeful handling of the pandemic and it's lack of interest in, and support of, music festivals (compared to sporting events) has led to an incredibly stressful couple of years for those who plan these wonderful events, My heart goes out to them
