Sadly, there is a flip side to this ugly coin.

I know some American Indians, by whatever name you call them,
who speak with great bitterness
of how burial sites respectfully maintained,
by their people and for their people,
were shamefully desecrated and the land re-purposed
to suit the white European colonizers.
