"Climate Change" is less confusing and offers less to argue about than simply using "warming" to describe the extremes in weather that is happening now. Every time we have a cold event (triggered by the changing climate, shifting jet stream, etc.) some right-wing wag will point out that this couldn't happen if the globe was really "warming."

That's what we hear on this side of the pond, at any rate.
