If only we could send the rainstorms
west of the Rocky Mountains,
where it is wild-fire season.

Where I have been staying, miles east of the Hudson River,
a local farmer told me, "April is the rainy month."
Turns out, that is how it used to be, not how it is now.
Now we are having a really rainy summer ourselves,
although not in the disaster category described in the OP.
