In the 70s I spoke with a German tourist driving a car covered in dimples. Turned out he had bought it as a write-off, even though it was perfectly drivable. The hailstones would have been at least tennis ball diameter. Watching this video I suspect it cost him at least a front & back windscreen, even if the back was more vertical in those days.
