This is from a UK perspective. In the UK winds from the west and southwest are warm and wet. Winds from the east and north east are cold and frosty. I guess that in the US these wind directions may have different effects.

In February we had a longish spell of cold east winds and vaccinations had only just begun. It's just about out of date now but for what it's worth here is my February feast.

W:The wind blows from the East again and frost lies on the ground.
W:A February Feast again where shivers do abound.
W:But I will wait for Western winds and warmer rain to fall.
W:And when good spirits rise again I'll sing for one and all.

W:This old and sandy coastal trail looks like a Christmas card.
W:But spirits, like the colours, pale when seasons are too hard.
W:Let April wake and Sea Pinks shake against their winter wall
W:And when good spirits rise again I'll sing for one and all.
W:
W:Now pubs are closed and meetings banned and singing has no sound
W:While masks and social distancing and Covid jabs abound.
W:Let silence end and voices blend and shake in homes and halls.
W:And when good spirits rise again I'll sing for one and all.
