Counting coups: I don't buy small appliances new any more, I look to see what is in the thrift store. I went past a couple of Goodwill stores today and found a nice Wilton cake pan at the first (goodbye old flimsy cakepan) and at the second, I scored a Black & Decker convection toaster oven identical to the one I had two ovens ago, and when that first one died and I couldn't find another clean convection oven I went with a smaller toaster oven (that I've used until now). The last dead one went in with the recycled electronics but I think I might still have the broiler pan in the eBay stuff. This new one had the rack but not the pan.

The funny thing is, I'm playing musical toaster ovens. I just got one last week at Goodwill for my ex. His is quite small and he doesn't have a lot of counter space, so he says it's fine (I told him about this change here and he isn't hankering after the larger ovens). My old non-convection oven will go into the pantry until the next time one of the kids needs one (or my new one dies.) In the clutter category, this is a point against me. The cake pans break even.
