Melba sauce. I have two recipes from my old Fanny Farmer Cookbook

Melba Sauce I is the one I make:

The simplest version
Crush 1 cup canned, frozen, or fresh raspberries. Strain to remove the seeds. Add 1/4 cup sugar and cook slowly for 10 minutes.

Melba Sauce II has more ingredients. It's also the one I'm finding online, so I'll post a link.
Food.com melba sauce has a good layout.

The first time I made this it was because, like you, I found myself with a container of frozen raspberries on hand. I had made a bread pudding to take to one of my small seminar classes that day and thought the raspberry would make it more special. It blew me away how good that raspberry sauce was over the pudding.
