Oh Stilly, a vaccine to protect against malaria would be such a godsend! It kills thousands and thousands in Africa, including many known to my husband in Ivory Coast.
I've always been perfectly accepting of an armful of jabs when travelling to the Tropics. Yellow fever (usually obligatory, with a need to show proof) and about five other nasty diseases - cholera, typhoid, meningitis, tetanus etc.
Also had polio, TB etc jabs as a child/teenager. No ill-effects from any of these (except the Yellow Fever one -hallucinations and delirium!)
But I agree with Steve that it isn't ethical to force unwilling people to be vaccinated. However, the rest of us have the right to protect ourselves from being infected by the unvaccinated, so some rules should apply about entry to community events, restaurants, bars, care homes and so on.
