the version I learned from MacColl is one he sung in Scottish dialect and accent ... but perhaps that is a song he got from Margaret Logan. She could have had the song in Scots, could have been a Scots ex-pat or Ewan could have adapted the lyrics. Is his version published in the Mainly Norfolk site so I could compare the words?
