Dear Folks,
I thought you may be interested in this event, to honour the songwriting legacy of the man who wrote *He Fades Away*, & many other magnificent songs about social justice & humanity.

Please do pass this on in your networks as it's a spontaneous event at short notice, so we need to get the word out, especially in the USA & UK & Australian folk communities, thanks! (no need to respond though if you can't join us, I am spreading the net wide here!)

Maree Robertson is organising this online session to give friends & fans of Alistair Hulett's amazing body of songwriting, a chance to share our versions of his songs, so they can be honoured & shared with new people across the world.

Also welcome are songs/poems/stories inspired by Alistair's life & work.

If anyone knows how to share an external video/audio on a Zoom session, we may also include some recordings of Alistair himself, &/or Roaring Jack.

Last weekend would have been Alistair's 70th birthday, hence the timing.

Maree will be there for 3 hours hosting an *Open House* style gathering for whoever can join whenever they can, so pop in to offer a song anytime, repeats will be welcomed (how many versions of He Fades Away will there be?!)

In Australia it's on Sunday 24th October from 7 - 10am am AEST, 8 til 11am DST (have brunch!), in USA it's on Saturday 23rd October from 2 til 5pm Pacific & 5 til 8pm Eastern, in the UK it's on Saturday 23rd October from 10pm til 1am (imagine you are at a festival!).
