Thread Name: Origin: Song of the Sea (Ray Hannisian)
Subject: ADD: My Song of the Sea
I am in search of who wrote a song that I learned in middle school, three part harmony (SAT). I now do an a cappella version.

It's quite short, here's the first two verses
-----------
"My Song of the Sea?"

"My song of the sea, you bring me a memory
of faces and voices that call me.
I find myself yearning for places I used to be,
chasing the morning and wandering free.

Come and sail on the water and follow a star,
for tomorrow is calling and we must be gone.
For we must be sailing to know where we are,
we are ships on the sea, and must keep moving on . . ."
------------

As I am would like to put this on my current recording project, I am bit desperate to find the author, and copyright ownership.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Please email me if you can help!

Thank you,

Andrea Dale
