Sol, I have to say that I have never heard of Bonnie Dobson, Tim Rose or the song in question before this thread popped up with you accusing Rose of stealing the song *without giving any evidence*.

Therefore I looked the song up on the net and found the note with the 75% royalties for Dobson for Rose's recording. This suggested to me that he did rewrite or reworked the song for his recording somewhat but that it is to the greater part still Dobson's original song. But you continue to accuse him of stealing.

Now, if you look at the picture of his 1967 CBS single Morning Dew, the song is clearly credited to B. Dobson / T. Rose. To me this says that from release on Rose acknowleded Dobson's original authorship. I don't see any evidence yet pointing to him stealing the song.

If this recording became popular and the public saw it as "his" song without checking the documented credits, that is quite another point. But I don't see it as Rose's fault without evidence of him claiming it in public, e.g. interviews.
