I attended a 100th birthday party today for my friend Barbara (the actual birthday was yesterday, December 10, and Christina and I sang a birthday song to her voicemail. She's been talking about this birthday for years, and I'm so glad it happened. We used to sing together once a month, but that has fallen by the wayside. Nonetheless, we call each other every year year and make up birthday songs for each other. We laugh and have a good time, and I'm not sure anybody else gets it - but I love Barbara.
