anosmic - that's a problem, I imagine? How does food taste?

With practice your sense of smell can be very precise. Years ago I worked for the Forest Service as a fire fighter, and got pretty good at distinguishing what was burning (wood, leaves, grass, duff, etc.) and that extends to household items over the years. I find myself identifying grassfires and such in the area when the wind is blowing just right.
