The 'saving grace' of many in the Trump regime was that their self-regard inserted large streaks of incompetence into their multi-level abuses of power.

Unfortunately this is simply schooling for the next time. This is not only a partisan observation. The ways of subversion know no ideology.

Over fifteen years ago I was conversing with a man in Walmart based only on our waiting in the same line and wearing tags that indicated we were working for the same company. I made some non-partisan light comment on national politics and he went off, not so much on me, but on the horrible horrible leftists endangering the country and how they needed to go against the wall. I came away a little bit shaken with the amount of emotion that erupted.
