My wife and I were told the chorus lines by a Las Vegas sports gambler
My Pappy's name is Ferdinand, my Mammy's name is Lizer.
So, between the two of them, they named me Fertilizer.
in the dining car on an Amtrak train ride on our honeymoon (1981).
After 40 years .... now we know the origins of the song.
