I just met a pair of Glaswegian sisters who have spent their adult lives pretty much in the United States,
and haven't seen Scotland since the 1960's, so they are getting on in years.

I told them/warned them about "Barney Thomson."
"Oh," exclaimed Maureen (if I got her name right),
"if there's killing in it, I don't want to."
Then I told her about Emma Thompson hollering
IT'S MA BINGO NIGHT AT THE BARRAS
and that got the two of them reminiscing about that enormous place
back in their day.
You can take the sisters out of Glasgow, but . . .
