The Greatest Illusion


The greatest holidays
celebrate the promise
of tommorrow in a baby or a seed.
All reality is in the future
be it the potential of a photon
or all the people ?on Earth.

?It is now that isn't here,
its only a trick of perception
Go ahead and take a picture of now.
Its a picture of the past.
Now is so small it doesn't exist
but the future goes on forever.

Even our bodies are built entirely
for the future from head to toe.
From our eyes to see distant horizons
to below our belt
to build all the
future generations.

Now is the illusion.
-You're crazy I can do anything right NOW- You could.
But that is in the future.
No matter how vast the past
There is always more future.
I gotta go now, I have something to do...
