Thread Name: This Cultural Life Paul McCartney
Subject: RE: This Cultural Life Paul MacCartney
It respects people to spell their names correctly. I had this out with Keith a few years back and it more or less cured him of his bad habit. It isn't hard to check. When a name you don't type very often confronts you, and you guess at the spelling, that's just lazy. We've all seen things such as Mcoll, McColl, MaColl, Maccoll and possibly worse. You listened to a BBC Sounds broadcast of a programme about Sir Paul McCartney, so presumably you had his name in front of you on the screen. No excuses then!
Incidentally, I respected the spirit of this thread by listening to the whole forty-odd minutes of the programme. Thus far, I'm the only person in the thread, apart from that brief allusion from henryp, to have commented on it!
