PRAY FOR ME

Not long ago I wandered back home
To an old country church on the hill
Then comes many memories of saints that are gone
It seems I can hear them still

My eyes filled with tears as I knelt at the altar
Where braver soldier had prayed
In their old fashioned manner they worshipped the Lord
Their prayer is my prayer today

I'm weak and unworthy to be a child of God
But His own son's blood has covered my soul
In His loving arms He keeps me safe in His fold
And He'll meet me up in Glory, this I know
