Subject: Lyr Req: It's 42 below, I wish I was in Tupelo
This song has been running through my mind for months (especially when I passed through Tupelo, MS in December). All I have of it is the hook, which goes
It's 42 Below I wish I was in Tupelo (Mississipi) 'Cause in Tupelo, there ain't no snow
No sign of it on any of the usual places where I can search.
I heard the song long ago in a galaxy far away, (well,in the 1970s in Hardwick, Vermont, which seems like a galaxy far far away) I think it was performed by a band called "Coco and the Lonesome Road Band."
It's possible that a member of that band wrote it and it was never recorded. I hope it's not lost to history. Any info would be appreciated.
