This is why I always select and save a copy of my post before sending - it doesn't happen often (knock wood!) but it used to be that messages vanished all the time. It still sometimes happens. Usually that text on the clipboard can go away, I don't post it to a document file, but it's a good practice, just in case.

The Nextdoor program moderation in this part of Texas is not consistent, and if you complain about racist remarks that always means they'll complain about you and get your post removed or you'll be chastened; and even if nothing happens to the bigots, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Because of this I use it only on rare occasions. I have it set up so it doesn't send me any messages or alerts, I only go into it when I need to find something or post a photo of a stray dog, etc. So I would rank that group as even worse than Facebook.
