That's utter nonsense! Mankind was saved when Fafnir and the Midgard Serpent were chained by Odin. Someday, at Ragnarok, they'll be set free by Loki and all the gods and goddesses will be destroyed. Mankind will be saved and allowed to start over, fresh and new, by the Norns.
