Lacking a network TV hookup, and long unplugged from the cable system, I am limited in my consumption of royal visit advertising disguised as news to headlines in the Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star.

Having clocked the headline, my eye immediately slithers away in search of something — anything! — of interest before settling on the editorial pages and the funnies.
